Sustainability is in our DNA
The Seville Aquarium works to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda in which it has the most influence:

13 | Climate Action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
14 | Underwater Life: Conserve and sustainably use oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
15 | Life of terrestrial ecosystems: Protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
17 | Alliances to achieve the objectives: Carry out alliances between the different actors on the planet to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

What do we do?

Biodiversity conservation

We carry out two types of conservation, in our facilities and in the natural environment itself, to take care of the marine environment and its species.

Recovery of endangered species

We develop conservation programs for threatened species such as sea turtles, orange coral or guitarfish.

Prevention of pollution of ecosystems

We carry out all kinds of activities (beach cleanups, training courses, etc.) to avoid environmental pollution.

Huella de carbono

Carbon footprint certification is one of the basic pillars of the climate change strategy implemented by our aquarium.

Energy efficiency

We reinforce our commitment to the environment for a more responsible consumption of natural resources.

Comunidades sostenibles

We promote the economic and tourist development of our town, in addition to collaborating with the training of students through educational cooperation agreements.
